Sales Tax Exemption Certificate Request – Action Required by November 30, 2025

SunWize is updating our sales tax exemption records.

To keep your account exempt where applicable, please email ar@sunwizepower.com current sales tax exemption certificate(s) for each state in which you claim exemption.

Important: If we do not receive your exemption documentation by November 30, 2025, sales tax will be added to your invoice, if applicable. Once invoiced, tax charges cannot be retroactively removed.

If your exemption is not received promptly, you may receive an automated email from our tax compliance partner, Avalara, requesting these documents. See example below;

Please note:

  • It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide accurate and up-to-date exemption certificates prior to shipment.
  • Certificates must be for the state(s) we ship to on your behalf, show your state issued exemption number, and detail the reason for your exemption status (i.e. resale, government, etc.).

SunWize currently maintains sales tax nexus in the following states:

  • California
  • Colorado
  • Indiana
  • New Jersey
  • New Mexico
  • New York
  • Ohio
  • Pennsylvania
  • Texas
  • Washington

As nexus is established in additional states, sales tax will be applied accordingly. No further notification will be issued when new states are added. To help ensure accurate billing, please confirm your exemption status when you place your order(s).
