Submersible Water Pump Parts

We sell stand-alone water pumping piece parts, including both the SunPumps SDS and Franklin Electric SubDrive & Fhoton line of submersible water pumps. SunPumps SDS series provide between approximately 50 to 1400 gallons/day while Franklin Electric SubDrive and Fhoton series pumps provide approximately 150-35,000 gallons/day. Estimates based off use w/ SunWize WPK.

Complete Solar Water Pumping Kits (WPK)

SunWize sells our own line of solar Water Pumping Kits (WPK), which are complete kits that are sized and designed to provide easy water pumping lookup solutions based on Total Dynamic Head and desired flow rate. They are designed for exact SunPumps and Franklin Electric solar specifications, making purchasing a complete off-grid solar water pumping system easy and simple.


Water Pumping Components

Sunwize carries both SunPumps SDS series pumps and accessories, as well as, Franklin Electric SubDrive/Fhoton SolarPaks for piece part sales. Both SunPumps and Franklin Electric water pumps are designed to accept direct solar input. The Franklin Electric SubDrive SolarPaks will accept alternate AC input in addition (for generator run support).

The SunPumps SDS line of water pumps are submersible diaphram pumps designed to operate with arrays between 65W and 200W. The Franklin Electric SubDrive and Fhoton line of SolarPak pumping kits are centrifugal submersible pumps designed to operate with Solar Arrays between 300W and 3,500W. Both provide excellent durability in a broad spectrum of water pumping applications.


SunPumps SDS Series Pumps

When looking for an easy pumping solution for moderate flow rates (<1,400 gallons per day maximum), SunPumps SDS series water pumps are a great choice. They are simple, easy to use, quiet, and require very little maintenance. They are DC powered, so your solar modules are wired directly to your pump controller. Pumps can operate between 12 and 30 Volts DC. All SunWize WPK-SE kits are wired at 24V to provide maximum voltage input to the pump for maximum flow rate. SDS Series Pumps require 4″ minimum inside diameter for well casing.

SunPumps SDS Series Controller

SunPumps SDS series water pumps utilizes the PCA-30M1D Solar Pump Controller. This micro-processor controlled DC power converter is designed to interface between the fluctuating DC input source (typically solar array or wind turbine) and the water pump 30V steady output voltage.

Franklin Electric SubDrive & Fhoton SolarPaks

Franklin Electric SolarPaks are excellent ways to achieve substantial water pumping flow production at total head of more than 1,100 ft. IP55 and NEMA3 rated controls enclosure means the SolarPak system can be installed in the toughest environments. The SolarPak systems use proven motor and pump technology that translates into long-term system reliability. SubDrive series feature optional AC power input, including auto-switching capabilities. SolarPak controllers feature Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology for maximum efficiency and power output. With simple designs, easy installation, and absolutely no maintenance, these UL approved pumps are excellent choices.

Franklin Electric SolarPaks feature motor ratings between 0.75 HP and 3.0 HP. Nominal pump flow rates are between 5 and 90 US Gallons per Minute (GPM).

Franklin Electric SolarPak Controllers

SolarPak controller features many advanced options, including optional AC input for the SubDrive models. Efficiency at maximum power is 96%. Maximum solar input voltage is 330VDC. Minimum Voltage is 95VDC for the 0.75 HP pump controller while minimum voltage is 190VDC for the 1.5 and 3.0 HP pump controllers.

SunWize developed the WPK series of solar water pumping kits to help customers more easily navigate the design and procurement of their water pumping system. Our WPK systems are designed according to SunPumps and Franklin Electric pump specifications, so you can easily match the WPK to the water pump for a complete, stand-alone solar water pumping system. We’ve provided easy to use lookup tables that let you purchase the right package depending on your total head and required flow rate. SunWize SunPumps series Water Pumping Kits (WPK-SP) are complete solar kit packages that
contain everything needed to run SDS series diaphram pumps. Our solar kits are sized according
to SunPump SDS specifications and will produce approximately 50 to 1400 gallons per day, depending on pump model, pumping depth, and solar resources at the pumping location.

SunWize WPK use high quality solar modules and our trusted SunWize brand side-of-pole mounts, rated for 110 mph wind speeds per ASCE 7-05. Each kit contains a SunPumps PCA-30M1D controller and 30 ft. of #10/2 wire for connecting the solar module to controller.

contain everything needed to run SubDrive and Fhoton series centrifugal pumps. Our solar kits are sized according to Franklin Electric motor 0.75, 1.5, and 3.0 HP motor specifications and will produce approximately 150 to 35,000 gallons per day, depending on pump model, pumping depth, and solar resources at the pumping location.

SunWize WPK use high quality 72-cell solar modules and Solar Rackworks top-of-pole mounts, rated for 90 mph wind speeds. Each kit contains solar modules, racking, output cables, and a DC disconnect switch housed in an outdoor rated metal enclosure.
